Water and Outdoorsports

After completing my studies in business administration in Cologne, I began my career as an Environment, Quality, Health, and Safety Manager at a recycling company. Over the course of five years, I earned my certification as a waste manager and gained valuable insight into the challenges of waste management and the circular economy.

Although I enjoy my job, I realized that I am not cut out for working full-time in an office. So, I gathered my motivation and courage, and decided to make a change. I founded Stilabunt, and turned my hobbies into a profession.

As a scuba diving instructor, I have the opportunity to introduce people to an incredible new world while also teaching them how to be responsible divers.

Finding a suitable name for your company can be quite challenging.

I gathered with my friends and we brainstormed together. One of my friends, Zoe, who was in the middle of her Latin course, suggested the word "Stillare". It means "to fall in drops, to drip, to pour in drops".

We thought it was a perfect fit for my company, which is based on water and outdoor sports, and also for our mission to be a change even if we start small - "Many drops make a river".

We played around with the word and came up with "Stilabunt". That's how our company got its name.
