Description

The fast-drying, lightweight stretch fabric of these shorts began life as plastic waste. Around 8 bottles go in to making each pair, helping to reduce the amount of plastic we send to landfill or ending up in the ocean every year. Classic boardshort design, secured with cord at the waist and hook and loop fly. Print design inspired by patterns and shapes of sharks. Sun protection UPF 35 blocks more than 97% of harmful UV rays (both UVA & UVB).

OceanPositive

We consume nearly 1 million plastic bottles a minute globally. This waste is not always necessary and not all of it is handled responsibly. Recycling is one solution to the problem, creating new products from old, but it is just a part of tackling the problem. Rejecting single-use plastic packaging and recycling whenever and wherever possible is a step in the right direction. With small changes in our behaviour, we can make a big difference. Made with recycled post consumer plastic waste, these shorts prevent approximately eight plastic bottles from ending up in landfill or worse still, the ocean.
